Happy Friday, Indivisibles! We hope you are cruising through this week and feeling all of the sweet, sweet political energy in the air around us!! With only 3.5 weeks till the midterm elections, we are definitely in crunch mode. Here’s how you can help this weekend:

1. SATURDAY – Canvassing to Lewiston, ME. Can you volunteer one day for a campaign? Meet us at 10 AM on Saturday 10/13 (and every Saturday!) at Porter Square Books to head up to Lewiston to canvass for Jared Golden, a candidate for Congress in ME-2. Holler at Kristin Mannke on Slack with any questions – she’s our Canvassing Queen!

2. SUNDAY – Phonebanking at Activist Afternoons. Our regular crew will be a presence from 4-6pm at Workbar in Central Square. Come by to make calls for Jared (in case you didn’t get enough on Saturday!). Activist Afternoons has been buzzing lately, with a record 90 attendees last week. One thing’s for certain – you will not be alone in your campaigning efforts! Please contact Ann Lurie or Ginger Leib on Slack with any questions!

Looking beyond this weekend, mark your calendars for a few more exciting events:

Tuesday, September 23rd: Phonebanking for NY-2 Congressional candidate Liuba Grechen Shirley, 6-8pm at the Somerville Public Library

Saturday, September 27th: We’re hosting a benefit concert! Songs for Trumplandia will take place at ONCE Ballroom, featuring singer-songwriter Ron Israel and folk/roots band The Lied To’s. Tickets are $10 at the Eventbrite page or at the door. This promises to be a celebratory and inspiring event with lots of good tunes to get us in the mood for the midterms! Facebook event here.

Monday, September 29: Phonebanking for the Yes on 3 campaign to explicitly protect transgender people from discrimination in public spaces, 6-8pm at the Somerville Public Library.

That’s all for now! As always, feel free to be in touch with your questions, concerns, hopes and dreams! We are proud of all the progressive campaigns we have supported and look forward to even more action in the upcoming weeks! To November 6 (and beyond!).

Yours in community,

Co-Chair of the Steering Committee
